River Bowl

These wabi-sabi stoneware bowls are inspired by the small pools, rocks and worn surfaces I notice along streams and forest paths. The exterior is left raw and tactile, with an uneven surface that feels closer to stone or bark. Inside, matte turquoise and green glazes gather like water in a hollow.

Each bowl is shaped and finished by hand, so the form, texture and glaze vary from piece to piece.

They work beautifully as altar bowls, ritual objects, small serving bowls or simply as sculptural pieces left out on a shelf or table.

High-fired stoneware with food-safe, lead-free glaze.

Care instructions

Ceramic tableware and cookware is safe to use in the microwave, dishwasher and oven (as long as you avoid thermal shock—never put hot ceramics on a cold surface). When removing a hot dish from the oven, place it on a wooden surface, towel or hot-pad to cool down. Do not use ceramic vessels on the stove-top as it heats up too fast and will crack.

Packaging

I carefully package each item in sustainable/recycled materials such as paper and cardboard. Many items are double-boxed for extra protection and some large artworks are shipped in a wooden crate.

Processing time

All of the artwork in my online shop is ready-to-ship. Pieces leave my studio 2-4 days after the time you place your order, unless indicated otherwise. You will receive email confirmation when your package is on its way. For any custom-made items, please allow approximately 5 weeks production time, or as agreed with me for your individual order.

Estimated shipping times

Typically 3-5 business days for European shipments and 7-10 business days for international orders. Tracking info will be sent to your email as soon as it leaves my studio.  Shipping times are not guaranteed and while it's uncommon, there can be delays due to customs.

Customs and import taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.

Returns are accepted

I want you to be 100% happy with your new purchase. I try my best to reflect the item’s true appearance and characteristics in my shop. However, these are handmade items, and by nature, they will have variations in the size and shape of each piece, or small markings from the handmade process. If the item you receive is not to your liking, I will accept a return within 30 days of purchase.
