The inspiration for Surge began with a deeply personal and transformative experience. In 2020, I created a plaster cast of my belly during my pregnancy, which became a cherished memento in my studio. For a couple of years, the mold stood as a beautiful reminder of that time, but its potential for further artistic expression was unclear. In 2023, a moment of clarity led me to see the shape as a wave, marking the second phase of my ceramic wave sculpture journey.
